Joe Hall is an ex-British Army veteran and a qualified engineer having gained his degree in engineering in the mid 80’s. Since then, he has worked as a systems engineer, technical project manager (PRINCE2 & Agile) and has owned a variety of businesses across Europe and New Zealand.
Joe is a pragmatic thinker whose thoughts are regularly canvassed when discussions are held on topics relating to quality assurance, business continuity and working ‘smarter’.
Joe is currently engaged as the Principal Technical Trainer at WorkSafe NZ, New Zealand’s health and safety regulator. In this varied and challenging role, Joe develops, facilitates and continuously reviews a range of legislative and technical training for the regulatory inspectorate and other areas of the business. Possessing a strong training background of some 20+ years, Joe has developed and facilitated training for several New Zealand PTEs (Private Training Establishments), Private Sector Organisations (Bupa NZ, Kapiti Rest Homes, Sevenoaks), Public Sector Organisations (CC, HV, W District Health Boards, Te Puni Kokiri, Upper Hutt City Council) and Not for profit organisations & Charities (including FISH Safety Foundation, Kapiti Connectionz, Volunteer NZ).
Joe is married to Karin and has 5 children. When not working, Joe is a keen fisherman and ‘biker’. He has been a member of the Kapiti Coastguard for 6 years and can often be found during the weekend singing and taking any opportunity that presents itself (of which there always seems to be many) to Braai with his many friends.
